Our Place Carlton is a partnership between City of Melbourne, Colman Foundation and Carlton Primary School, and is located at the corner of Palmerston and Rathdowne Streets in Carlton.

Pete is developing a pilot project for an online reading program to happen here in Melbourne (and hopefully spread nationally) to engage volunteers reading with kids (one-on-one) for half an hour in the afternoon after normal school hours.
This will help the kids to keep engaged, the parents to have a bit of time to themselves, volunteers have something to do to help etc.
Assoc Prof Wai-Hong Tham
Assoc Prof Wai Hong heads up WEHI in the division of Infectious Diseases and Immune Defence. At the moment her focus is on C19; as well as the Malaria Parasite.
All the techniques relevant to the Malaria Parasite Research are relevant to C19 and so that is where the work is now focused. One of the highlights of the current work for Wai Hong is the wonderful collaboration between groups like the CSL, Peter Doherty Institute, the CSIRO and the Burnet Institute.

"Caring for an Aging Population"
Dr Kate Gregorevic is a physician and researcher based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She has a strong interest in health advocacy, and regularly writes for The Age about health and ageing. She has founded an online exercise and health education. Program called Project Three Six Twelve and her first book will be published by Pan Macmillan next year.

Sophie comes from a family in Bendigo with strong ties to the South Bendigo Rotary Club. She has an Arts background including a Master of Arts (Arts Management Program) from RMIT. She is the Local Engagement Officer at the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank which has recently opened at 282 Lygon Street, Carlton.
