Tony Jorm reported back on the Christmas tree and Swag sales in Lygon Street.  While the tree sales were a little slow, the Swag sales went well.   And, there was an interesting experience with Craig who was selling the Big Issue opposite the Rotary stand.  Craig donated $5 to the gift tree.  Tony wrote to the Big Issue commending Craig and Big Issue responded with a prize for the best letter of the fortnight.

Max McLennan passed on thanks from the Ronald McDonald House for the Christmas  gifts donated by members and said they were very much appreciated by the children and their families.

Anne Ada reported on the AAMI Classic car parking on Saturday 12th January.  Due to decreased numbers attending the event, only 4 Carlton members were required to help but as Anne said, anything which highlights Rotary activity is good for raising awareness of Rotary activities.

Des Jones, Keith Ryall and Victor Sullivan attended an event at the Richmond Club where Keith presented Trevor Tang with a Double Ruby Paul Harris award for his contribution to the 2012 conference.

John Elligate reported back on the Bunnings BBQs held in December which were a great success.  Paul Carlin presented Bunnings with a Certificate of Thanks and Sally Davy, Bunnings Activities Manager, commended the BBQ team on their conduct of the events
