The Rotary Club of Carlton is already involved in a number programs which the Club is familiar with . These include ENACTUS, The Victoria Police mentoring Program, Post Stroke Mentoring and AMES mentoring. Anna King Spoke on ENACTUS, which stands for “To Enable Progress through Entrepreneurial Action”. Their projects include:

  • Indigenous Development -  Providing skills in communication, business and preparation for employment for indigenous women and youth in metropolitan and regional communities
    • Environment - Providing education in environmental awareness, waste management and sustainability to primary, secondary and tertiary students and small business
    • Health and Well-Being
 - Providing knowledge and skills in healthy eating for children and their families
    • Homelessness - Providing gainful employment and social interaction for homeless people
    • Disability - Providing gainful employment and social interaction for people with disabilities
    • Social Issues - Projects include: education in financial management for students; mentoring for young females; reading skills for disadvantaged children; connections for senior citizens; education in cultural awareness; education in preventing binge drinking; and education in preventing bullying

    As part of the mentoring program students would have a business and a Rotary Mentor with the aim of fostering leadership. Currently the program is partnered with Victoria University and ACU (tentative)
