Anemone Kirk - Danish Exchange Student
Anemone’s host club is R.C. Kew on Yarra, together with R.C Kew and R.C. Hawthorn and she has been attending Canterbury Girls School since July last year, which she said was a great change from her school in Denmark, and wearing a uniform and adjusting to the school curriculum was a challenging experience but one she has enjoyed. She has also enjoyed the many experiences arranged by her host families and clubs. She has been taken to the Great Ocean Road, rode on the Puffing Billy railway, climbed Sydney Harbour Bridge and camped in Central Australia. In Denmark her family sail and the President of R.C. Kew took her sailing here. She is in the Scout movement in Denmark and has joined the Girl Guides here and participated in camps. Anemone praised the generosity of her host clubs and families and said she hoped other young people would have the opportunities she has enjoyed.
