David Sparks, Chair, Graduate House
David describes himself as a semi retired electrical engineer, past experience in engineering
and management of large process plants. He had many years in Apex, Institution of Engineers Australia committees and with two daughters and a son had a fair share of school councils. Four grandsons and two granddaughters but unfortunately the nearest grandchild is 250 km away.
As Council chair his vision for The Graduate Union is to consolidate it by improving the way the Council operates and, as recently discovered, to see good financial governance put into place. The Graduate Union has an excellent group of councillors and staff who David aims to support and encourage to achieve their goals and their enjoyment of their tasks.
