Afghanistan Project
Phase 2: Development of the Afghanistan Youth Web Site. As a result of our success in gaining funds through a District Grant (International) the Afghanistan Youth Web-site has commenced development, with A$4020 from our club and A$2010 from District.
Phase 3: Training Ambassadors for Democracy. As a result of a new proposal from Noor Shah, a further grant of A$8650 has been given by the Persephone Foundation to assist in the extension of the program for the training of Ambassadors for Democracy that Fary Moini has established in Jalalabad with a separate program in the capital Kabul. He will train 1000 young people as Ambassadors of Democracy to assist new voters think through the issues raised by the upcoming General Election next April. The funds are currently being transferred to Noor Shah in Afghanistan via San Diego.
