Cambodian Bridge Project
A community in Cambodia – Bosala & Kroa Boa Villages, Kampong Speu province. The 800 people in this area have benefited from Rotary assistance since November 2010. At that time they were starving and suffering life threatening diseases – cholera, typhoid fever, dengue fever and pneumonia. Emergency food for 18 months, hand in hand with agricultural and water sanitation projects transformed the community to 800 healthy people, working hard on their crops. They now all have access to safe water and medicines. The school is built and 500 children attend. Many of them have to cross a river which is in flood during the wet season. The purpose of the project was to provide a bridge for the children, and also for the wider community to access other villages.
