Keith Wolahan

Keith has made three tours to Afghanistan as a member of the Army Reserve. After his first tour a friend of his, Greg, was killed in Afghanistan and as a result Keith decided to return to Afghanistan again. He was privileged to be offered a job as a platoon commander. Keith likened leading a mission to being in the first 11 of the Australian cricket team.

Peter gave us an update of his career since being part of our Police Mentoring Program in 2007 when he was an inspector at Banyule Police Station. From Banyule he was promoted to the civil litigation unit, then onto Stonnington and now he is Acting Commander of the Southern Metro Region responsible for all operational policing in this region.
